Because Lock Surgeon has been primarily viewed as a locksmith service provider we developed the sister company Door Surgeon, in part to better express our team’s desire and ability to help potential customers with their door related challenges. Over time Lock Surgeon and Door Surgeon have cross-trained staff so we may offer many of the same product and service solutions. Team members working exclusively on Door Surgeon main brand offering will generally focus on garage door repair and new garage door and garage door opener sales.

Trained professional technicians deliver mobile repair and installation in service vehicles that are stocked with trade related tools and a large variety of commonly used repair and replacement products. In-store sales and service counters are staffed by experienced trained technicians that are well equipped with trade related tools and extensively stocked with products to match our customers DIY needs and customer supplied product repair needs.
The Always Mobile phrase is used throughout our advertising and promotions. The term lets our customers know that we are ready and able to bring service vehicles to site with the tools and service solutions to meet their needs. While some major repair events or account customers require emergency mobile service solutions evening and weekends we try not to promote and limit the idea of providing 24/7 mobile service. However, some of the challenges our customers are likely to face can at times develop at inconvenient times. As we are in the service industry we must remain prepared to respond to significant late night or weekend challenges that are difficult to delay to a more convenient time or day.
This is a hands-on, garage door and door operator service position for mostly residential doors but also commercial overhead garage doors.
You will be provided with corporate training and work with a senior garage door technician on a variety of jobs until you can confidently work independently. Additional ongoing training and support will be provided.
There may be an opportunity to work in a related company division such as locksmithing and man-door repair.
All new staff will assist other staff on a variety of projects and assist in areas such as inventory, shop cleanup, product pricing & packaging and other areas as work allows.
When working independently you will be working directly with customers at which time you will determine and discuss options of product or service solutions
Past construction or property maintenance experience is an asset as is a schooling background in shop or woodwork.
You must have a Class-5 drivers license, full english language skills, strong communication skills AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO UNDERGO A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.

This job will involve answering phones, documenting name, address and work required, organizing appropriate technician to respond to work, scheduling work within time and weather constraints and customer's needs.
Helping to coordinate appropriate team to respond to work required, and ensuring technicians have a good description of challenges and possibly additional product to complete work.
You will be responsible for signing out tools, documenting staff time start and end of day, documenting time-off requests, dealing with customer job site communication challenges or complaints.
This postition is best suited for someone with strong organizational and leadership qualities to work and assist in a well organized corporate structure.
Past experience in construction renovation, garage door or man door repair work an assest.
All new staff will assist other staff on a variety of projects and assist in areas such as inventory, shop cleanup, product pricing & packaging and other areas as work allows.

Assist in a variety of service areas as a helper in shipping receiving door repair, security upgrades and window laminate installations.
Work will include maintenance of lawns, cleaning and organizing warehouse and assisting other technicians as required.
Past experience in construction, building maintenance, landscaping and shipping or receiving is an asset.
You must have a Class-5 drivers license, full english language skills, strong communication skills AND WILL BE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE A CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK.
This position may lead to an opportunity for additional positions in Locksmithing, the garage door trade or Bee Cool Glass Coatings.

Lock Surgeon's locksmith team is trained in a wide variety of product and service solutions as there is no one service that can provide the variety of solutions our customers may need.
Applicant will become well versed in the technical information and procedures of our product and service offerings.
You will be making calls to past customers, account customers and potential clients that will have interest in our products and service offerings.
You will require and receive about 1 month of corporate training in areas such as:
Key copying, key creation, lock repair and rekeying, door closer and door opener service, door security hardware, panic bars, electric locks, access control systems, safes, window bars and window security, door repair and installation, window hardware and patio door repair and possibly some garage door repair.
Past experience in any of the above listed areas or in building, construction or building maintenance will be an asset.
This job requires the ability to learn from senior staff, follow procedures, be organized, communicate well, present solutions to customers and commit to continued learning in this evolving industry.
